french bulldog breeder

Hi there! I’m Lea Fisher, and I’ve been head over heels for the French Bulldog breed since 2017. My passion for these adorable, goofy, and people-loving pups led me to start breeding them with a focus on health, temperament, and sticking closely to breed standards. There’s nothing quite like the joy of watching these little ones grow, develop their unique personalities, and then finding them the perfect forever homes. Being a part of their journey from the start to when they meet their new families is truly one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I just love everything about Frenchies!

The Irresistible Personality of the French Bulldog: Goofy, Loyal, and Endlessly Lovable

Did you know the French Bulldog is now the #1 breed in the USA?  And it’s no surprise why….   If you’re considering welcoming a French Bulldog into your life, get ready to meet one of the most charming and entertaining dog breeds out there. French Bulldogs, often referred to as “Frenchies,” have a personality that’s as unique as their adorable bat-like ears. From their playful antics to their loyal companionship, French Bulldogs have a way of capturing hearts and making everyone around them smile.

The Goofy Charm of the French Bulldog

One of the most endearing traits of French Bulldogs is their goofy nature. These little clowns of the dog world are always up for a good time, whether it’s chasing after a toy, performing a silly trick, or just rolling around on the floor in sheer joy. Their expressions are priceless, often conveying a mix of curiosity, mischief, and pure happiness.

Frenchies are known for their quirky behaviors, like snoring loudly, snorting when excited, or making funny noises that sound almost human. It’s hard not to laugh when you see a French Bulldog wiggle its way across the room or attempt to “talk” to you with a series of amusing grunts and groans. They have a way of brightening up even the gloomiest of days with their playful spirit and infectious energy.

A Human-Oriented Companion

While French Bulldogs are undeniably playful and fun-loving, they are also deeply devoted to their human companions. This breed thrives on human interaction and forms strong bonds with its family members. Whether you’re lounging on the couch or taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, your Frenchie will be right by your side, ready to share every moment with you.

French Bulldogs have a special knack for sensing their owner’s emotions and often act as a comforting presence during stressful times. Their affectionate nature makes them excellent cuddle buddies, and they’ll happily snuggle up with you for hours on end. In fact, Frenchies are known to be “Velcro dogs,” meaning they love to stick close to their people, always eager to be part of the action.

This breed’s human-oriented personality also makes them great with children and other pets. French Bulldogs are generally patient and gentle, making them wonderful companions for families. They enjoy being involved in family activities and will quickly become an integral part of your household.

The Perfect Blend of Playfulness and Loyalty

French Bulldogs offer the perfect mix of playfulness and loyalty, making them an ideal choice for those who want a dog that can keep up with their active lifestyle while also being a loving and devoted companion. Their small size and adaptable nature mean they can thrive in various living environments, from apartments to houses with large yards.

But don’t let their compact size fool you—Frenchies have big personalities! They are confident, sometimes a bit stubborn, and always full of life. Training a French Bulldog can be a fun challenge, as their independent streak may show from time to time. However, with patience and positive reinforcement, they quickly learn and are eager to please.

A Bundle of Joy

French Bulldogs are a bundle of joy wrapped in a small, muscular package. Their goofy antics, combined with their deep love for their human family, make them one of the most lovable breeds out there. If you’re looking for a dog that will bring endless laughter, affection, and companionship into your life, the French Bulldog might just be the perfect match for you. Once you experience the unique charm of a Frenchie, it’s hard to imagine life without one!

French Bulldog Price

Frenchies are known for their high price tags. The main factors causing this are: they are not only more expensive to breed, but also very popular 🙂

Cesarean Section Births:

French Bulldogs typically require cesarean sections to give birth due to their physical structure. This surgical procedure is necessary because of the breed’s large heads and narrow hips, which make natural birth difficult and risky. Each C-section can cost between $1,500 to $3,000, significantly increasing the breeding expenses.

Limited Number of Litters:

Because of the internal scarring that result from C-sections, Frenchie females are typically limited to a maximum of 3 C-section litters in their lifetime. This restriction means that breeders have fewer opportunities to produce puppies from each breeding dog, which drives up the cost per puppy.

Small Litter Sizes:

French Bulldogs tend to have smaller litter sizes compared to many other dog breeds. On average, a Frenchie litter consists of 2-4 puppies. The small litter size, combined with the limited number of litters per female, results in fewer puppies produced overall, making each puppy more valuable.

Breeding Challenges:

In addition to the C-section requirement, French Bulldogs often need artificial insemination to conceive due to their body structure. This process adds another layer of complexity and cost to breeding.

These factors combined make breeding French Bulldogs more challenging and expensive than many other dog breeds. The high costs associated with breeding – including medical procedures, specialized care, and the limited number of puppies produced per female – are ultimately reflected in the price of French Bulldog puppies. Breeders need to recoup these expenses and make their efforts financially viable, which contributes to the breed’s reputation for being one of the more expensive dog breeds to purchase.
